Convector Grilles

The grilles are the only visible parts of the in-floor convector. Standard surface loads across the rim of the convector are transmitted to the floor. The shape of the slats, their spacing and arrangement effectively affects air flow, whose parameters is expressed in percentages. Grilles are supplied separately or together with the floor convectors. Dimension of the grilles, including all combinations, can be according to customer requirements.

Grille finishes

Grilles are manufactured in transversal and longitudinal versions. Transverse (roll-up) grilles have slats together with sprung spacers. This option is suitable for all materials and slats of all types and sizes of convectors. Longitudinal grilles are made of aluminum alloy or stainless steel slats. This option can not be used for convectors F1T or F1P trenchs with a height of 90 mm.

Grille materials

Grilles are manufactured in duralumin, stainless steel or wooden slats with a standard height of 20 mm. Grilles in duralumin are supplied as standard in a natural colour, anodized, dark bronze, light bronze and black anodized. Wooden slats are available in beech and oak, both versions can be supplied in raw, oiled or lacquered. Wooden grilles may deform slightly in response to changes in interior humidity.

Using grilles without trims assumes perfectly executed installation of trench convector, especially in terms of height with respect to the finished floor, with equal gaps all round. 

Finish with trims U - PMU Finish with trims U - PMU

Covering grille with Z trim visually "framed" convector in finished floor. Quality requirements made during installation of trench convector and the surrounding floors are finished with or without trim. U trims come together with the cover grille in various cuts, which fix on the convector during installation of the grille. Silicone sealant is recommended for fixing the trims to the trench rim of the convector. This trim is only availabe in natural aluminum and light bronze. 

Finish with trims L – PML Finish with trims L – PML

Covering grille with L trim visually "framed" convector in finished floor. L trim overlaps transition between the trench and the finished floor and is preferably used where there is an uneven gap between the edge of the convector and the surrounding finished floor. L trims come together with the grille in individual cuts and are fixed to the finished floor when installing the grille either by the supplied double sided tape or silicone sealant (recommended).

Finish with trims Z– PMZ Finish with trims Z– PMZ

Covering grille with Z trim visually "framed" convector in finished floor. The Z trim overlaps the transition between the trench and the finished floor and at the same time acts as a base for the grille. Preferably used where the convector is "drowned" in the installation of the finished floor level. Z trims can hide an uneven gap between the floor and convector.
